A Weighty Issue

  I don’t know what Jesus weighed at birth, but His birth was weighty! 

  Jesus is the one and only baby ever born into humanity that’s profoundly and positively impacted earth’s destiny!  The Eternal Word became flesh in Jesus, immaculately conceived in Mary’s womb, and protected by Joseph as he obeyed the directives given through dreams in the night.  This little baby, this amazing Lord of lords and King of kings, GIFTED US with the weightiest gift ever – eternal life in paradise with Him.  The New Testament Gospels attest to this so beautifully.  Read it and be revived again!

  It’s Christmas and we’ve been engaging in the remembrance of this divine occasion for over two thousand years.   What are we going to do with this strategic event this time?  Shall we do the same ol’- same ol’ with parties, shopping, gifts, stuff and more stuff?  Where is Jesus?!  

  I want to encourage you to take off the weight of the world you may have been trying to carry on your shoulders.  Your destiny is to put on the weight of God’s glory!  Hebrews 12:1 encourages us to do so, “…Let us also lay aside every weight {encumbrance}…”  Another version says it this way: “Let us throw off everything that hinders.” So, let’s do it!  Let’s exchange the weight of the world for the weight of God’s glory according to 2 Corinthians 4:17, “For this slight momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure.”   Now that’s a powerful exchange, don’t you think?!

  O beloved people of God there needs to be an urgency in us to WANT to give this one-of-a-kind baby all the pleasure of our worship and adoration.   All existed things in heaven and earth were made by Him.   He is worthy to be praised!  This little baby boy, Jesus, born just a few days ago…or so it might seem because ‘a day is like a thousand years’ to God, doesn’t need anything except our eternal devotion.  (Ps. 90:4)  Why should we concern ourselves so much about parties and flittering, worldly pleasures?  The greatest pleasure of all is worshipping Him who gave His life for us!  

  Come, let us adore Him, as the old song proclaims.  Come, and watch circumstances change before your very eyes as praise and worship of Him lifts the weight of the world off your shoulders.  “Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.  Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.   For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised.”  (1 Chron. 16:23-25a)        

REPORT ON STATEWIDE WORSHIP WAR ROOM  OF 11-11-11

   It would be very hard to put into words what was released over Iowa at our Statewide Worship War Room event on 11-11-11.  There was just too much happening that evening to report on everything.  However, you may want to tap into the holy and contagious atmosphere of this amazingly historic evening through our video soon to be released and posted on our web site at:  www.intimacy-with-God.com.  We’ll send out an alert when it’s ready!

  One way to describe that Veteran Day’s event is through testimonies.  I include these few to give you an idea of the atmosphere of God’s presence and power:

-          An attendee from the NW Quadrant of the state related in an email the next day:  “It’s indescribable!”  She went on to say how “the worship, the intercession, the prophetic dance, the prophetic painting, and last but not least, Holy Communion” was quite overwhelming for her whereas she spent most of the evening on the floor under the power of God!

-          Another from the Des Moines area wrote, “I find it difficult to express in words what a holy experience I had last night.  It was/is such a blessing to me…your message to all of us fit exactly what I have been experiencing in my life…”

-          One wrote to say how thankful she was she’d been there!  She was also appreciative of the prayers for our youth.  (Some families brought their kids.  PTL!)

-          A precious lady from NE Iowa said she really didn’t know what to expect and what would take place.  (Me either!  It was all in the hands of God!)  But later on in her hotel, the Lord gave her a clear vision about a ministry she’s to start in her home.   

Prophetic Words

  Several prophetic words the Lord had given me were:  1) He was passing out Purple Hearts to those who had been brave and enduring in their long and fierce spiritual battles.  What that looks like, I’m not sure, but I sense each one will recognize that gift when it’s bestowed.  Amazingly, there was a picture in the newspaper that morning of 5 recipients of the Purple Heart who had come to Iowa hunting!  (Prv. 4:23)   And, 2) We were to be on the watch for God’s glory in the next three sunrises.  (Rev. 2:28; Rev. 22:16)  (Check prophetic painting below!) Consequently, one dear lady wrote on the following Monday – the 3^rd day:   “I had put in to take time off from my job to spend Christmas with my son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren in Maryland.  My request was denied.  In faith, I placed a second request asking my employer to reconsider.  On the third day, Monday, I was told my request had been granted!”

Another reported waking up the next morning free of back pain!

If you have a testimony, let it be known.  (Rev. 12:11)

Prayer always moves things.  It always will.       

Highlights

Our Prophetic Artist, Angelia Meijer

Our evening was extravagantly blessed by Angela’s beautiful prophetic paintings.  Everyone was enthralled throughout the evening watching her paint brush bring strokes of God’s glory across the canvass.   Many commented about different things they saw in the paintings.  I loved it that she did two different ones!  She titled them:  ‘Arise and Shine’ quoting Isaiah 60.   And may the Lord’s glory rise upon all God’s people in Iowa and beyond.

Another amazing highlight was our prophetic dancer, Carla Kaiser

Carla told us that she had never done what she did that night!  As she was walking out the door to come to the meeting, the Lord spoke to her about changing the song she was to dance to.   She had already been practicing to a different song.   The song He directed her to was:  “Possess the land” - exactly what the Quad Tour of 2011 was all about!  How amazing is our God?!  Carla’s dance was beautifully anointed, bringing us to another level of worship.

Intercessors

Counties from each quadrant of Iowa were called out.  Representatives of each of the quadrants came forward and offered passionate intercession for in their areas.

To dispel the ‘religious spirit’ we joined hands as an act of unity while listening to a song by Della Reese, “I’ll Walk With You.”  Everyone loved it!

A Holy Sound

  The enemy did not like our holy declarations through the expression of worship by sounding shofars and trumpets according to Joshua 6:20, Judges 7, 2 Chronicles 5:11-14 and Isaiah 55:11.  As a result of that intense spiritual warfare, the enemy tried attacking our sound system at various times that evening.  Nevertheless, his vileness was routed as per the Word of God as breakthroughs and victories were decreed across Iowa.   Our God’s glorious and powerful Word was shot into the atmosphere like a rocket as we had eleven people read eleven key scriptures for the event.  

  In Acts 19:34 the ungodly people of the city made a loud noise unto their goddess Artemis for over two hours.  Unbelievable!  But how much more so God’s people unto Him Most High!  I think the manager of the Conference Center thought we’d lost our minds!  But keep in mind, people shout just as loud at their sporting events.   So why can’t we shout unto God with a shout of joy?!  (Psalm 47:1)  We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  (Rom. 1:16) 

  Because these holy sounds had gone forth over Iowa, Mike and I were shocked when we arrived home at precisely 11:11 PM and after going to bed, our alarm system went off for no apparent reason!  But we knew!

Conclusion

  The climatic closure of this historic time of spiritual warfare over Iowa came as we intimately encountered the Lamb of God in Holy Communion not in any familiar traditional manner!   I gave a brief teaching on what they might experience through this fresh encounter.  Then I shared a cut from my newly released CD of intimate Communion Prayers.  (See below)  Many were remarkably moved by it. 

  Our Beloved Redeemer was present to instill hope, happiness and healing in each heart.  His Second Coming IS COMING!  Then HE WILL GIVE THE VICTORY SHOUT/ROAR over His precious Bride as the Lion of Judah!  

  We know the battle for Iowa, for America and the world is intensifying.  We fight the good fight with our Holy Commander in Chief leading the charge.  (1Tim. 1:18; 6:12)  Fear is not in our vocabulary.  Victory is!  Thus, we march onward and upward as anointed, spiritual warriors in the army of the Lord.  Joel 2 is coming quickly.  We embraced these marching orders through the last song as had been prophesied by Bob Jones in early 2011.  Bob said the Lord told him the song of the church that’s going to arise is one we all know and love, but rarely sing in church:  “The Battle Hymn of the Republic.”   Sing and testify to it’s surging power in this hour!

  Upon finally retiring for the night and resting my head upon my pillow for some much needed rest… I could not fall asleep thinking of all that had taken place on this strategic evening of 2011.  I decided to get up to pray, give thanks and to praise the Lord.  O what a holy Wonder He is!  It  was by divine appointment that I sat in front of our window gazing out at the nighttime sky.  Why?  Because the Lord put His divine signature of confirmation in the skies with a beautiful display of the Northern Lights!  It’s just not typically seen this time of year in Iowa.  Hallelujah!  To Jehovah El Elyon - God Most High, belongs all glory, honor and praise.  Watch out Iowa! Watch out America!  Watch out world!
