Revolution of Revelation
I believe it is the calling of every believer in the Lord Jesus, to press in to know the extravagance of His mighty Name. That term, ‘extravagance of His Name,’ was laid upon my heart recently during prayer. Oh how exciting it was, is, and ever shall be – to truly know the extravagance of the Name above all names! [Philip. 2:9] One can’t even fathom the true enormous power, victory, majesty, splendor, healing, provision, revelation, joy and so much more that resides in this marvelous Name that evokes so much blessing. Can we ever fully comprehend it? I do not know. But this I do know, as followers of the Lamb of God, we must continually be on the quest for more of Him. He’s eternal and therefore we can never get to the end of knowing all the fullness His glory.
Have you ever thought of the Lord’s name in this manner, as a never ending extravagance? What an interesting and wonderful thought! But we’re coming upon very precarious days on this planet, and we’re going to need to know the glory of Jesus Name personally, intimately, and powerfully in order to go through the trials and testing that await us, as some of our brethren are already suffering in other parts of the world.
How shall you and I pass the test? How are we doing these days? What was your yesterday like? How’s today working for you? Are we crumbling and mumbling over each and every crisis that comes our way? Hopefully not. Jesus’ Name alone evokes power! Let’s adore, love, and speak His Name - Jesus - OVER our circumstances and see what happens. We don’t have to have all the answers. But we do need to trust and obey because everything must, and will, bow to His Name, “…so that at the Name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” [Philip. 2:10] Verse 12 goes on to say: “…work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” THAT fear, means the holy, reverential fear of the Lord. It means the awe of God. I like to call it, witnessing the ‘spectaculars of God.’
We’re about to enter into the holiday season. The whole night sky was opened up before a few simple, lowly shepherd guys tending sheep. They were privy to the spectaculars of God’s glory in hearing and seeing the host of heaven rejoicing that the Word had become flesh that very night. [Luke 2; John 1] We too, in simple humility and openness of heart and with childlike faith, must be ready to experience the extravagances of God. In that position, things that have built themselves up bigger than life before us will fall away because our focus is not on ourselves but on Jesus alone.
“So what is this extravagance,” you say? I’m discovering more and more avenues of it myself which I believe to be a lifelong adventure. Certainly we must grow from the humble beginnings of ‘being born again’ and being little children in the Lord, to growing up each day into greater revelations and dimensions of God’s ever unfolding Presence and authority in our lives. That comes by way of absorbing, reading, knowing and living His Word on a daily basis. You can’t get by without it! It’s a matter of maturing each and every day into greater revelations and overcoming the evil one who’s ever in our face defying the Living Word of God.
One of my husband’s favorite verses is from Revelation 3:21, “He who overcomes, I will grant him to sit down with Me on My throne as I also overcame and sat down with My father on His throne.” Wow! We are over-comers just by the word of our testimony which comes by way of sitting down with Jesus on a daily basis. And as we ‘dine with Him,’ as it says in Verse 20 consuming His Word, we are made stronger and stronger every day.
As some of you may know, the morning of my pancreatic cancer surgery a few months ago, I was awakened with God’s Word trembling through my heart. He directly spoke Revelation 12:10 to me which says: “And they overcame him [the evil one] because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” So let go of your stress, your troubles, your heartaches, your pains and begin to fall in love with God’s Word. What does He say? He says you are an over comer! So as Princess Elsa would sing in the hit movie, ‘Frozen,’ let it go! Let go and let God. You’ve probably heard that phrase a lot in your Christian life. But isn’t it time to REALLY let go? How long have you been trying to figure everything out? It’s not your job to figure it all out. Our job is to let go, and let God lead us in the divine, holy, wonderful paths He has for us. And sometimes it does indeed mean going through the fire and rain. (See Isa. 43:1-3) But be assured, we will certainly overcome! It’s a given according to Revelation 3:21. So sit down. Relax. Take in God’s Word. It’s the best food and defense ever!
Through all our trials, we will always come out smelling like a rose! There may be days of feeling a lot of thorns, but we are destined to know the extravagances of God. He is after all, the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the valley. “I am the rose of Sharon, the lily of the valleys. Like a lily among the thorns, so is my darling among the maidens.” [Song of Songs 2:1] But if you’ve been feeling like the thorn bush has been poking you far too long, take the Divine Rose into your valleys and see what happens. Surely you shall overcome. This, my friend, will cause you to have a revolution of revelation! Victory is imminent!
A Prophetic Word
This word came to me from the Lord a few weeks ago in the middle of the night after I’d taken Holy Communion. I pondered awhile if I should include it in this IWG Journal. But knowing it wasn’t just for me, but certainly for the Body of Christ, I feel compelled to do so. Things all around the globe seem to be changing and shifting dramatically. Part of the revolution of revelation is to have our senses and heart enlivened with the Word of God, His Divine Breath…which is His movement, His power. Remember how Jesus ‘breathed’ on the disciples in John 20:22 after His Resurrection? I’ve always loved that scripture. When one feels someone else’s breath, they have to be standing very close. Jesus imparted His Word, His breath, His movement, His power over them. Likewise, when we too stand in God’s Word, that same breath or wind, movement, impartation, power, etc. comes over us. This is the holy aspect of intimacy with God. It’s up close and personal. It takes you into the ‘spectaculars of God.’
Here’s that word. You may of course, assess it for yourselves.
May the Lord extravagantly bless you!
“Change is coming. It’s not about the change of the season, it’s about ‘climate change’ in My house, My church. Just as the 10 virgins waited for the bridegroom, so it shall be that only those with the oil of expectation and preparedness shall see Me. I am about to display Myself in the air, the wind, the breezes. Fresh air is coming. My Breath is blowing even now. It shall be seen and felt. A holy trembling is coming! Watch for it. It is coming! Things that can be shaken will be shaken. But those who abide under the shelter of the Most High God, My Ownself – they shall not be shaken. They shall be secure. Those rooted in My holy love will endure, resound, rebound and be lifted up to a new place in Me that will transform them now and hereafter forevermore.
Behold, a great Light shines in the darkness. I am the Way, the Truth and the Life and the Eternal Light.
The Body and Blood of My Communion with you secures your residence in Me, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. You are mine and I will cover you now, then, and forever. Do not fear. I am near. I am in you. You are mine and nothing by any means whatsoever shall harm you. I am your deliverer and healer. We are one in the bond of My holy, everlasting love. Keep your eyes open. Watch and see. Look! I am coming to you. We are one in the bond of love.
Fresh air is coming! My Breath is blowing upon you even now. See! It changes everything around you. My Breath is My eternal Word. It equips and trains you for battle. But the battle is already won! Don’t strive any longer! Reside in Me. Stay in Me. I am your hope of salvation now and forevermore. We’re one in the bond of love and nothing shall by any means harm you.
Trust Me. Believe in Me. My Word, My Breath is blowing across the land. Change is coming. You shall ride on the wings of victory. My Breath, My Word are those wings. Fear not, for I am always with you.
You’re anointed and appointed for a time such as this.”
